Definition:-

                  When an action started in past and finished aswell in the past at a particular time. It is said action of past simple tense.

                                                              OR

                                       When something happened in past.

Formulas :-

·         Affirmative : Sub+Verb(past form/2^nd form)+Obj

·         Negative    : Sub+Did+not+Verb(Present Form/1^nd form)+Obj

·         Interrogative       : Did+Sub+Verb(Present Form/1^nd form)+Obj+?

·         InterroNegative  : Did+not+ Sub+Verb(Present Form/1^nd form)+Obj+?

Short Form:-

               Did not = Didn’t

Examples :-

·         I went to college.

·         I didn’t invite you.

·         Did you go there?

·         Didn’t you take food?

·         What did you do?

·         How did you go there?

·         I came but you didn’t.
