Present Simple | Present Indefinite Tense | Action of Present Simple


Definition:
                    We use present simple tense when we talk about the work which is done in present.
                                                                        OR
                    When something happens.

Formulas:
                  Affirmative          :   Sub+Verb(present form)+ Object
                  Negative               :   Sub+Do/Does+not+Verb(present form)+ Object   
                  Interrogative       :   Do/Does+ Sub+Verb(present form)+ Object
                  InterroNegative :    Do/Does+not+ Sub+Verb(present form)+ Object

Examples :
·         I teach English.
·         I don’t teach English.
·         Do I teach English?
·         Don’t I teach English?

Short Forms :
·         Do not = Don’t
·         Does not = Doesn’t

Note :
                   WE place ‘s’ or ‘es’ after the verb in affirmative case if the sub is “HE”, “SHE”, “IT” or any third person singular.

Examples:
·         He teaches english.
·         She stares at me.
·         It happens to us.
·         Ali goes to school.
